Who we are.

“Food offers powerful therapeutic benefits to support health. All foods fit, and I would love to support you on your journey support your health, your body, and enjoy foods, not stress about them.”

Erica Olin, MS RD CD

Hi there! I’m Erica (she/her). I have expertise in eating disorders, pediatric nutrition and feeding challenges, pregnancy and postpartum, body image, and chronic disease management. My primary focus and passion is empowering people with education and tools to rediscover their health by making peace with food and helping install intuitive eating principles with whole foods!

My quirkiness and dry sense of humor comes out in real life. I’m a mom, wife, nutrition nerd, and nature addict. I love exploring the PNW, and love my kids 92% of the time (yes, I did the math). My favorite foods are: coffee, cupcakes, carrots, and apparently foods that start with the letter C.

I find joy by exploring the PNW with my family, feeding them, gathering with friends, and sunny day runs. I’m also highly passionate and spend time advocating for policies and programs for better food access and food equity. I also work at King County Public Health as a WIC Dietitian.

Living in a culture that glamorizes dieting, I spent years focusing on making my body the nucleus of my health. I later learned how to respect my body and create a positive and guilt-free relationship with food and my body. My experiences, both personal and professional opened my eyes to the mantra of food as medicine physiologically and mentally.

The Summit Philosophy

INTEGRATIVE & FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

I learn your entire health, not because I’m nosey, but true relief and holistic nourishment comes from looking at it all: social, genetic, mental, etc. A functional and integrative approach encourages us to assess the whole person, not just symptoms individually. This approach helps me identify barriers to long term goals, contributors to disease states, and helps guide a unique care plan. This patient-centered care approach understands that mind, body and spirit are all connected.

EVERYTHING ELSE…

As a person of color, I am aware of the oppressions and injustices our health care system plays in overall health, whether thats access, care, or lack of personalized care. Not only is healthcare is a human right, but should be given with compassion, respect and equity.

We welcome people of any race, ethnicity, creed, sex, sexuality, gender identity, age, body size, or physical or mental ability.
